Course goes up, up and UP for about 3.5 miles, then down DOWN 3.5 miles. Last time I did this 2 years ago, I stopped at the potty and got stuck at the end of the line when it snakes onto narrow single track and did a lot of walking as I was behind everyone else.

Ran everything but the steep staircases in the first 1-2 miles. Couldn't really get around anyone anyway so just use it as time to go easy. Once we hit the flatter parts, ran well. Didn't get passed a ton, and no one passed me on the fast Ray Miller downhill like last time. In fact, I was doing a lot of passing myself today, which is odd (but fun). Much better than my 13:30 average last time :^

XTerra races are low key and fun, need to do them more often
