Rev3 Knoxville or Mountain Madness, then probably something else in the Fall.

What is the prize? Maybe that will help me decide...

Heck, I would have signed up for the Norseman lottery if I had known I might win a GU pie...!

Oh, well.

Rev Williamsburg (23 June) and Goosepond (12 October)

not much talk about goosepond around here this past summer on the board.  if you're looking for an cool low key independent half then this is it.  ~2.5 hour drive from north atlanta in scottsboro, al.  fairly flat bike.  not much flat on the run but nothing to bad.  my fat a$$ ran a 1:53 off the bike but the course was ~.5 short.  rd owned that and promised it will be corrected.  plenty of cold beer to empty into the beer mug awards.  schwag you can use.. socks, arm warmers and a shirt.  race hotel was 69 bucks.  plenty of stuff to keep the three young beer fetchers happy.

later!

SWEET nothing like a little SEC smack talk to kick off a friday!

Yeah, well Fattyfatfat, Unlike you Texas A&M folks we may not know much about football these days, but I cannot believe you just laid down a swim challenge to an auburn dude. It's kinda what we do here. And don't take that from Phat - I think he has been around long enough that he HAS to have raced that old infamous UGA triathlon at least a time or two. If he is willing to swim in that boiling hot mud hole he will swim anywhere. That said, I do have to admit I thought exactly the same thing when I read "Goose Pond" Triathlon....

clgswisher - 2012-11-16 10:17 AM anyone done the Rock and Roll 1/2 in Macon???

I've done it.

Setup does a great job, the bike is rolling hilly, run is rolling, and it's often hotter than heck.  It's generally held right about the first of June with temps in the nineties and high humidity.

What are you looking for in a half?  Is this your first?

I am either doing Augusta 70.3 of B2B half, it will depend on which ironman I get into, then I will pick a late-season 70.3

Augusta for me.  Did B2B last year and loved it but I want to do an M-dot race.

I have signed up for the Ironman 70.3 California Oceanside.

I may do the Rock 'N Rollman Half or the Rev3 Knoxville.  Still undecided on those at this point.

quite a few people I know are doing Raleigh 70.3. It is sold out now. I was thinking it'd be too hot.
