awol, you're a scalliwag .........

Of course you can join in! Let me know your goal and I'll add you to the list ..... but at the end of the week I've got to "close" the group so we can keep it organized and easy for me to track. ;-P

My goal is a 100.
It should be more, really. But considering I only did 90 in May including a marathon and 50-something in June, I'e got to start somewhere.

Daremo

I don't  think i will be doing any running this weekend so ill report my first week total now: 26 miles.

In the future would it be easier for you if i PM or email you with the stats or continue to use this thread?

Whatever works best for you.

I'm going to start another thread on Monday and ask them to "sticky" it to the top of the forum for reporting/tracking the challenge.

36 down, but I've had some congestion that decided to move into my chest right now it is going to be day by day not worth prolonging a cold just to get a couple more miles in.

39.6 miles for me.  Most of them were hard miles in the extreme heat and humidity.  Thankfully, the humidity has come down a little bit in Virginia.

Only 12.8/100 miles done as of today. I was planning to go for a longer run today - 12 or so. But after my 120 mile bike ride yesterday in the rain, I think rest is better for my legs and for my immune system too. I will try to make up the long run tomorrow or later in the week.
I will make it, I have no doubts

37.27 mi as of today.

Should be over 40 but I seriously stonkered today's long run and called it quits at 1'45". Still on pace to make goal as I built some wiggle room in and I'll add some more miles as the month goes on.

i think i'm a bit late for this challenge, as i was a little hesitant doing this w/ the 400 bike, but i'm thinking it's possible now that i'm at 29.25 up to today, and will be upping the long runs.

so i think i'll just make it a personal challenge of 100 without all the glory of being in the club.

Annapolis, huh?

Live there, work there? I spent quite a few years there, graduated from AHS in '89, and my parents and two of my brothers still live there.

Both of them (in fact all three of my bros) are less than athletic.

Pops was a Naval officer, retired a few years ago, but still does the daily commute to DC to work with a weapons systems govt. contracting company. I was also briefly a Middie many years ago (was class of '96 before resigning to move on to other things).

I live just south of Columbia in Howard County now with my wife and three little boys.

Welcome to the site and enjoy the challenge! I'll add you on to the list in the other thread for 100?

Geze Rick, talk about small world. I too lived in Bancroft by the Bay for a few years but I was class of 94. One of my company/classmates was a local but he graduated high school in '90. Was a wrestler and stood about 5 ft on his tippy toes, he had a younger brother too. I'm not sure he went to Annapolis High, does Arnold(?) have a school too? If you think you might have known him, just PM me and I'll give you his name. One of my med school classmates was USNA class of 96.
