Now, in fairness, most people are pretty darn good. The 5:00 AM crowd is usually just there to do their thing and get to work. It isn't social hour.
I guess that makes the one person who does keep asking you questions stand out even more.
Now, the kicker: It was cool out yesterday morning and kind of misty so I wore a lucky shirt over my t-shirt to run to the gym. So my lucky shirt is kinda old-ish. I take my long sleeve lucky shirt off when I get to the gym and put it on a chair near the machines I was using. The lady in the gym cleaning the place grabs my shirt and throws it in the trash. Bonus: My keys were in the shouler pocket.
Fiddlesticks.
Luckily she fished it out after I asked what happened to it.
It's funny you say that. Spending all day in a gym, there are definitely different crowds at different times of day.
Early morning crowd - Serious workout people. Nothing gets in the way of their workout. Not even sleep deprivation. Don't even think about getting in their way.
Mid morning crowd - Stay at home moms, unemployed people, and retirees. Still fairly serious, but they're not usually on a tight schedule. They will bend your ear if you give them the chance. Sometimes you may even need to chew off your own arm to get away.
Lunch crowd - not quite as serious as the morning crowd, but they don't mess around either. These people can't be bothered to get out of bed at 4 a.m. to work out, but they will sacrifice their lunch hour to get a little sweaty. They're always in a hurry to get back to work within the hour.
1:00-3:00 afternoon crowd - 3rd shift workers, unemployed, and anyone who really wants to work out alone. These people can a little like the mid-morning crowd, but dichotomous. They will either talk to you until your ears bleed, or walk the other way whenever someone inadvertantly walks their direction.
Evening crowd - This can be like happy hour at a bar. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether some people are there to work out or socialize.
