This week was rough for me.  I missed 3 workouts (1 swim, 1 bike, and 1 run) because I was sick.  I was very close to my planned workouts apart from the three that I missed.  Hoping to be better this week.

i had a really bad week too.  Cut my one long swim short, because it was feeling like crap and I didn't want to blow my race.  Wound up blowing off a few more workouts too in favor of taper and then had to blow off my swim today due to a mini-crisis at work.  At least I accomplished my priority A goal this month (the race) and managed to podium.  So I don't feel quite so bad slacking off a little

I did much better this week than last week. No sick days this week really helped me out.

I may be more excited that I figure out how Ron makes his tables.

Sorry you two had a rough week. Hopefully things will go better next week.

I don't have any fancy graphs but as of today, I've done 100% of my workouts as planned by my coach this month. I think last week was my biggest volume week I've done.

Now we are driving from MA to MN  with 4 kids and me and I'll have 3 rest (sort of rest days)days

You are awesome!  I don't know how anyone can stick to the plans so well.

I'm at about 70% and feeling fabulous about it, but wishing I could hit the full 95-100% mark.  It just takes determination and PLANNING my own life around the plans, which I'm not so good at doing.  I can't just follow directions.  I always stray, a little at least.

 Working on it, -Sunny

I'm late this week.  Let's just say that I didn't stick with the plan much as this was my first week back from sickness...it was supposed to be higher in volume (before I got sick)...I kept the workouts short and 2 per sport...although I raced Sunday - that wasn't planned either.  Hope to do better this week.  I have no numbers as in testing some new features I messed-up my planned calendar, will have to reconstruct.  ick.

I did all workouts this month.

A couple this week were a struggle to get in, but pushed on and coordinated it. We are on an island and to get to bike, have to ride to the mainland....and with 5 kids, 98 degree heat it was challenging to get those last long bikes in....being gone from the island for 6 hours for a 65 mile bike/30' run, but hope it will pay off in the long run. I was in the 400 mile bike challenge as well and rode the most of any month thus far...more yards swimming too. I guess it helped that I'm on vacation and lost my job.

Having a coach who I pay helps keep me on track....why have him help me if I'm not going to follow what he has scheduled for me to do? A year ago I wasn't as good as following my plan, but over time, I have worked hard to give my coach my life conflicts and have him build my training plan around it...works much better.

July's totals:

Bike: 29h 12m 43s - 468.46 Mi
Run: 9h 7m 48s - 44.2 Mi
Swim: 7h 31m 05s - 17575 Yd

Now let's see how my training comes through in my upcoming tris.

Great job with your training this past month Kathy!!! Super job. I think I did a fairly good job, but I did miss a few workouts. Here is my plan vs actual total for the month:

Monthly totals: B: 124.50 Mi | -15m

R: 47.25 Mi | -1h 3m 30s

S: 10096.15 Yd | -1h 15m

I was good on the bike; I think I finished up early one day due to bad weather. I also had a shortened swim due to lightening; I think I missed out on one other swim due to fatigue. The run deficit is mostly due to shortening a planned 18 mile run down to 13 miles due to extreme heat and humidity; finishing that run would have had no real benefit for me. Not a bad July for me; hopefully August will be as consistent.

great job Kathy!!

I unfortunately cursed myself by starting this challenge.  I was strong until 2 weeks in.  Then a combination of 12+ hour days, 100+ degree heat and mechanical difficulty put me out of buissness for the rest of the month.

Unfortunately my August isn't going to be better with me out of town for most of it, but I will be back in September and I WILL PREVAIL!

good job to all that finished!!!

My training mimics vortmax...first two weeks good, last two weeks very bad following the plan, although I was able to get some workouts in.  I have to restart another plan for august...I think august will be a big bike month.

Congrats to all who stuck with it or tried to.  It's tough.
