I hope it's not going to be running back and forth on the Riverwalk 13 times:

95th and Book Road? That's far away from downtown Naperville. Sounds more like it's in the Naperville/Bolingbrook area. I think there's a forest preserve around there??

And it's in November, so that's a nice Chicago Marathon alternative.

Cool!  26 miles around 95th and Book road there are a lot of possible routes.  You could go through DT Naperville or head West out into farmland.

From what I've been hearing it's going to start out going through Plainfield, then Bolingbrook, up through downtown Naperville, finishing south.  I would definitely do this.  I also want to do the Fox River one next year.  On the fence about Chicago again.

Those roads are part of some of my cycling routes every weekend.  I'd love to do this too.  I'd be even more excited if I found out if it will be a BQ'er race.

Sounds like it will be a nice course!

Pricing came out today.  $115 for the half, $150 for the full.

I'd spend the extra $25 and do Chicago instead.  What an arrogant price to charge for an inaugural race.

Its naperville, of course there going to charge a lot! Pretty pricey for their first year around and run through mostly farm roads.

Agreed. Though they do say on the registration page that the price includes a package of digital photo downloads and a half-zip long sleeve that is gender specific and will be from a top brand. I dunno, sometimes those types of incentives can make me want to do a race, but mostly I'd rather have the cheaper option.

I'm not running Chicago this year...last year it was too crowded on the course because of the new corral system. I'm thinking of going to my hometown and running Columbus...small race, but also only $75 if you register by the end of March. I have only been running again since 2009 and the price increase for Chicago has gone from under $100 still to that outrageous amount for 2013. Yikes!

I was on the fence because of the cost of Chicago.  I will not do Naperville for sure because of the cost.  Only reason I might do Chicago again is I done the race more than any other race and is the only race my family comes out to support me at.  my family has a lot of fun with it.

It's an early season option, but the Wisconsin Marathon is is Kenosha, WI in early May. That comes in at $74 I think and the route runs up and down the coast of Lake Michigan. Good early season option if you're lookin.

Well, look who lowered their fees.

I might consider it now.  I like local marathons especially if I can run couple in a month .

Still too high, IMO, especially if they ditched the photo package. It's still more expensive than the Early Bird pricing for the Twin Cities Marathon or the Columbus Marathon. Their Early Bird is the same price as Twin Cities and still more expensive than the Early Bird pricing for Columbus. lol Hey, supply and demand though, right? We'll see if they are successful.

If I didn't have Plantar Fasciitis I'd be all over this!  If you're local, don't forget about all the travel/lodging costs a local event saves.  Naperville always puts on great events!  Just as good as Chicago does, but costs a little less.  I wish TZCoaching would let me do this! Sealed

Coach says no!   I'm still not 100%, had it really bad.  I'm actually only pool running right now.  I have two HIM's this year, which are my focus.  I wanted to do an ironman or marathon, but coach doesn't think I'll be ready.  Gotta trust my coach!

In spite of my better judgement, I went ahead and registered.  After 4 hours they're already 50% sold out.

They also dropped the prices, and there are discount codes floating around.  I hope this isn't going to be an epic mistake.

They also have a discount code on the webpage if you register today.

Our team was sent a discount code "good until registration closes".  Wonder how long that will be!

I'm in too.  I'm glad the RD listened to the people.  I was gonna skip this one and do Chicago again when the prices first came out.  Can not wait for this race.  Part of my weekly saturday run is through Springbrook where part of this course will be.

Here's to a sub 4
