Is there a 13.1 in Chicago that's as good as Bank of America marathon?

I might be moving back to Chicago and would really love to do a big race as a celebration. Its that or Chicago tri (perhaps both??).

The Rock and Roll Half was pretty cool.  The Chicago Half Marathon is also a pretty great race.  Nothing compares directly to the Chicago Marathon though, it's a world class event in and of itself.

Can't believe this one filled up before Chicago opened. I thought this one would last until the day after Chicago closed then all who were shut out would go here. GOOD FOR THEM

I'm not surprised it sold out.  There is a HUGE fitness community in Naperville and surrounding areas.

As for the course.  I live in Naperville and have run pretty much covered the entire course on my regular running routes.   It should be pretty good, a bit tight in some spots (like Springbrook) where there are only trails.   Hopefully it will have thinned out by then.   The course is relatively flat, only a few minor "rises".  It will get a little lonely on Royce and Green Roads (miles 18-19), were there aren't any houses.  Overall though, it looks like the RD did a good job of balancing road closure costs with a good route.
