just a heads up....

I rode Cranberry this evening and there is a half mile stretch on County Rd that has grooved pavement.  It made for some tough riding but it was only about a half mile.

Just wanted to let you know in case youhead out that way any time soon.

LOL Joe...I'm giving up the "bad knee" story, and just going with the old age excuse.  I figure sooner or later that has to kick in!

LOL! If the last 8 miles of the MS ride is any indicator, it's going to be a while before any excuse you can come up with will apply!

according to the BT Cranberry race section, there are 27 BTers going. I am not sure that is correct because a few of the names I do not recognize and I have seen no signs of them on the site in quite awhile. Either way, we are going to have a great time!

At last count we have at least 4 comming from farther than most. We have two comming from FLA, 1 from CO and 1 crossing the border from CANADA. This is way too cool!

Ok now for the serious stuff, Were is all the smack talk? I know Max has an excuse as he is still loafing about after his big brick last weekend getting ready to lay down the law. And May never seems to be around to back up her smack, although she has been spotted around the state on trainng rides. I for one will be there to place my own mark on the race, success or ambulance, either way it will be BT BIG!!

Just 27 more days until Cranberrry!~

It seems so close after talking about it so much since March or April. I have my training plan through Cranberry and it makes it all so real. Only one more long ride for the next four weeks plus a 30 mile ride. My long runs are going up again 8-9 miles for the next two. I can't wait to have fun and race with everyone!

We need to get the BT plans in order to make this a huge fun BT event.

Who is bringing tents? Signs?  We talked about seeing if we could bring a grill and bring some of our stuff to grill...anyone check to see if that was okay with the RD?

I bet we will have more than 30-35 BTers there either volunteering or racing. Emily will be volunteering. Glad that Monica and her husband will be there.

I have a small protable gas grill that I could bring. Actually, I have two and I could bring both, if it was ok with the RD. I had planned on bringing a cooler with either Sam Summer or Smuttynose Brown Dog Ale and of course Gatorade! I getting really excited as well. See everyone in a few weeks.

I'll be there to make sure the Aaron/Rob showdown doesn't get too heated...let' keep things civil boys

I am probably heading up the morning of the race. That's what I did for Old Colony (similar drive) and it worked out pretty well. Hopefully it won't be as hot

I can also bring two more tents, and will. This year I will try to remember the tent steaks so we are not using max's screwdrivers this year

Glad the road is fixed.

I am beyond ready for this race, just need to maintain to rip 10 minutes off of last years race Either way, I will take on May and Max again

I'm coming..my bike and wetsuit are already on the Cape actually.  Parents have threatened to bring the camper to the race.....although it does have a bathroom, kitchen and flat screen TV.  My dad is very much a social butterfly so be warned!!!
