Didn't need to see more of Pam's dancing.

I *know*. Embarrassing to watch.

Sorry, I keep thinking of things.  I need to write this shizzle down while the show is happening.

Allison seemed drunk...way too overly enthusiastic!

I've always thought Allison didn't know the results before the final weigh in...but her "over emphasis" of you have to lose MORE than 120 pounds.  Did you hear me?  MORE than 120.  MORE than 120.  I think she said it three times!  Practically set up the "win by a pound" thing.

I have to agree that losing by a pound had to stink.  Not quite dehydrated enough, eh?  Nice to see that even Danni wasn't emaciated and dehydrated like that Helen chick from a few years back.

And finally...they normally let the contestants pick the order...but they didn't this time.  Wonder if they were sick of not having the person on the scale be the winner with the confetti....

I don't think that performing live in front of an audience instead of her usual scripted gig is Allison's strength. I thought the same thing about her making mention of the number of pounds she had to lose-- she seemd to be really hammering the 120.

I literally ran from the room when Pam was on because I think that if I had had to see her dance or hear her say, "Damn, gurl" one more time, I would have had to kill myself.

Has anyone seen the little videos they've been posting about Filipe (from season 7)? Turns out he gained ALL his weight back plus some. So now he's at Fitness Ridge, training with his cousin (Sione) who works there as a trainer. Its sad, but inspiring too.

People are giving Danni a hard time for her hair and makeup but remember it's their equivalent to a red carpet event so the hair is going to be done up.  Obviously she wouldn't wear her hair like that to the grocery store.

Either way I'd still hit it.

Yay - so glad Danni won!! And so bummed that Joe didn't get the at-home prize (wish it didn't go to Gina, like everyone else I suppose). My other random thoughts:

- WTH was Bob wearing? Not my favorite look. I'm not digging the beard and the hair this season. Am I shallow?

- Dolvett was looking mighty fine in that suit. However, his live interviewing skills need some help - so awkward when he was talking to the chick in the audience.

- I teared up when Lindsay came out and did her cheer with the cheerleaders - I'm such a sap. You could tell she had worked really hard to learn it and she looked good. That's what I liked about having the kids on this season - seeing them go out and gain some confidence they didn't have before, even if they weren't stick thin at the finale.

- Way to go Lisa! Even though she didn't win the at home $, I thought she looked the best out of all of that group. And with 4 kids and her job, I don't know how she did it!

- I wish Sunny's mom would have jumped on the healthy train with her (like Bingo's parents).

- Didn't love Danni's hair like everyone else, but still thought she looked great. I like that she's rocking some serious muscle, rather than just looking thin - she looks really strong.

I liked this season so much better than the past few. Some of the contestants changes weren't as impressive, but I liked the focus on the positive stuff, rather than all the gameplay. I thought they handled having the kids on the show well. They lost weight but obviously not at a ridiculous rate like the real contestants, and they showed it in the context of their real lives.

Jackson looked years younger and losing the glasses helped a lot.  Joe looked truely happy.  DAVID - the policeman, looked GREAT!  He just about busted out of his uniform in the before footage, people are missing just how much better he looked, and he had an injury for a long time.  This was a great season because there was so little bickering and gaming (CONDA!).

My daughter and I were hoping that Dani would win.  Very happy that she did.

I remember when they first went back home earlier in the season, Dani was worried that she would have a hard time keeping the weight loss going since she works 2 jobs just to get by.  I hope that the $250,000 will help her quit working 2 jobs or be used to help her get a job where she doesn't have to work 2 jobs anymore.  I can't imagine working that much, and having a full life at the same time.

That would be the best use of it for her...chip away at it to supplement her income while searching for a good job.  Though, after this show I can't imagine she'll have a problem finding a job...especially if she wants to work in a fitness industry or as a motivational speaker or soemthing.

Edited to add: It was so weird seeing the week 1/2 stuff where Danni was consistently on the ground...she was considered one of the "weaker" players initially but she really did a 180!  I had completely forgotten that she was so bad the first few weeks!  Oh, and I will admit that several of the players I didn't even really remember them...sad.

Edited a second time to add:  They have compressed the timeline of the show lately too.  They used to spend 4-5 months at home after the Ranch.  If I do my math right they only did 3.  So I think that's one of the reasons some of the larger folks didn't have a total transformation.  Given another few weeks some people might have lost a bit more.

Dang. I wish Joe would have won. Bummer. I like him so much! He was just so genuinely happy, he's got it RIGHT about being so happy from the inside when you're healthy. Happy for him, but wish he had gotten the money!

Too much muscle for him to get the % he needed to win.  But he looks awesome!  I really thought Lisa had it though, wow.  They all look awesome.

Lisa looked AMAZING!!  I thought she had it.  I was disappointed she didn't win the at-home prize.

Glad Danni beat Jeff.

I was not a fan of Danni's look, I blame production. I liked Allison's dress. My husband disagreed with me on both statements.

He's crazy!  My husband even commented on how bad he thought Danni looked and he normally wouldn't.  The hair was not working for me AT ALL.  Allison finally looked good.

The number of tight/bandaid dresses has always been a problem on this show. Both Allison and the contestants. I was glad to see that Danni was one of the few that WERE wearing one, but I really don't think it's that flattering.  They show everything.   Oddly, I think Jillian looked better than she ever had and maybe the best of the night.

It's hard to imagine that Lisa didn't win the at-home prize.  She doesn't need to lose a single ounce more, in my opinion, so I hope she's okay with that.  I am hopeful for those who transform with their family.

Aren't we focusing on the wrong things if we're saying her hair didn't look good?

OK so call me a conspiracy theorist but I thought it odd that she won by ONE POUND. Sounds like a little Hollywood magic to me. I mean, she may have won by four or five pounds but they probably said `Well she won anyway, le'ts just say one to make it more fun.' I dunno, just seems a bit funny that she won by a pound.

Regardless, it's amazing the sheer amount of weight that was lost. Kudos to them.

Maybe it's ALL related.   Maybe she was ahead by 3 lbs, so they added 2 lbs of hair gel/product to make it a closer contest!?!?!

I dunno. There really isn't any effort by the producers to present this show as being 100% fair. It’s not like the Oscars where they bring the envelopes out in a locked suitcase and tell you that the results were independently verified by the accounting firm of Price-Waerhouse-Coopers.

I think they take liberties with the results all the time, and that the contestants sign waivers saying that the producers can do whatever they want. Now, I doubt they would say Danni won if she didn’t lose more weight than Jeff, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they fudged the results to make it closer than it really was.

This is actually probably right. WHen I was on WOF they had very very very strict legalities they were required to follow. With that much money hanging in the balance, I doubt they could take creative liberties without risking a big lawsuit.

Just real quick observations since I just watched it (and I need to go shower!).... (in no particular order)

1) Fine, fine. The kids looked better. But they still have work to do. I hope they keep working on it!

2) Pam with that stupid dance. AGAIN. UGH.

3) I'm so upset that that lady (name?) didn't win the at home prize.

4) I'm really upset that the blond lady who annoyed me all season won the at home prize. UGH. I can't even remember her name right now.

5) Joe looked GOOD. He looked like a fit, trim, athlete! WOW!

6) Why is it that some of the contestants, while they lost a lot of weight, they still walked and looked like their legs were the same size? Maybe the extra skin? Joe seemed to have normal legs though. Maybe I'm crazy?

7) SO FREAKING HAPPY DANNI WON! She LOOKED AMAZING. They guy she was up against (Jeff?), while he lost a lot of weight, he didn't look athletic or fit. He still had a lot of weight on him, and it wasn't muscle. Danni looked how I want the winners to look. FIT, HEALTHY, and like a completely different person. THANK GOODNESS SHE WON!

8) Otherwise... no one else really wow'ed me with how they looked. Sure, the looked better... but... eh... not wow.

I enjoyed the whole season after not liking it for several years. I still wish Joe had beat Gina, I can still do without her. I was really proud of Lisa.

I felt a little sorry for Jeff. One pound is tough to swallow! I think it'd be easier to accept, "I couldn't lose 10 more lbs," but just...one! That has to be tough.

Now the good stuff: I was not a fan of Danni's look, I blame production. I liked Allison's dress. My husband disagreed with me on both statements.

Danni's hair was weird looking. All blown up and back, made to look like a mohawk. The makeup was fine. The hair, not so much. And did they paint that dress on her? I'm starting to wonder if they require all the contestants to come out in skin tight dresses. Seems like all the ladies did. Some of them, while it was great they lost weight, didn't need to be wearing a skin tight dress.

Allison's dress was super cute!

Wow, what a transformation!

They all looked great...  I think that Danni, Joe and Lisa had the biggest changes, but kudos to all.

I do wish that TC (?) was able to spend more time on the ranch, his story is heartbreaking (his seat broke in a car accident and fractured his son's skull).

Danni was always beautiful, such a lovely smile and pretty eyes, but OMG what a transformation.

I'd really like to see all of the season winners (and other contestants) to see how they're all doing now

Yes, TC's story IS heartbreaking! While he said it upset him... he didn't do anything at home to lose weight before the Biggest Loser. While heartbreaking, it didn't motivate him enough to do it on his own. That breaks my heart even more.

Having watched enough episodes of the Chris Powell Extreme Makeover weightloss addition, it might be.  Most of Chris Powell's clients have to reach 40-50% body weight loss to qualify for the surgery (hmmm, about what most of TBL contestants lose).  At that point many still look fat...and the "loose skin" might still be fairly thick (with fat).  But all that loose skin jiggles around so much and causes so many issues (chafing, rashes, etc.) that it's worth it at that point to remove it.  Yeah, they will still have weight to lose afterward but it will be easier with the "dead weight" gone.

See, now this is cute:

http://blogs.suntimes.com/arts_entertainment/2013/03/biggest_loser.html

Danni's taking Jeff (and Francelina, who are apparently still together! Surprised that wasn't mentioned at the finale -- they always like to highlight the relationships that form on the ranch) on vacation!

It's so nice all the contestants got along this season.

Alex, David (the cop) and Lisa all blew me away. They looked great (I really thought Lisa had it in the bag for the at-home prize -- they apparently weigh everyone in a week or so before the finale, so maybe she lost some MORE weight since the "official" weigh in??).

Also, here's a slide show of everyone's before and afters:

http://www.today.com/id/51231442/displaymode/1247?beginSlide=1

I think the kids DO look different, especially Biingo.
