Subject: Trainer question
My trainer and bike are on a yoga mat and my wife complains about a vibration she hears downstairs. The mat is wide enough for the bar at the back of the trainer but the legs at the front are resting on the carpet. Anyone have a solution? I fhought about buying a thicker rubber pad that's wide enough to fit the legs of the trainer. Anyone tried that? Where would I buy such a thing? Lowes/Home Depot?

Doesn't sound like a bad idea.  If you're talking about that triangle thing that the front wheel goes in, would 2 of these fit underneath?

don't forget that you will be transmitting vibrations through the front wheel too.

What worked for me on an apartment floor was 2 x camping mats and a sheet of 1/2" MDF. a trainer on top of 2 comp mats would have been too unstable but the 1/2" mdf sheet spread the load and also spread the vibration.
I painted the MDF to make it a bit more sweat proof and it lasted the year I was in that apartment easy.

Something like this from Walmart

When I bought mine, they had them in the automotive section and the fitness section.  The automotive ones were half the price for what appeared to be the exact same thing with different packaging.
