Subject: RE: Wooden train tracks will I regret gluing them? In our house, the building is the fun. They would not get used nearly as much if they were glued instead of "buildable." JMHO. Funny story about wooden train tracks: About 5 years ago, we had a 4 year old, a 1.5 year old, and one on the way. My wife put the 1yo down for a nap, but the 4yo wasn't quite tired yet. So she laid down on the couch to wait a while. 2 hours later, she awoke in a panic, instantly realizing what had happened. To her amusement and relief, she found: 1. An entire train layout, built from plans. 2. Two pages of the alphabet written out, over and over. 3. A stack of books next to the 4yo's bed... which he had used to read himself to sleep. She had never been so amused/relieved/embarrassed all at once! We knew he was good at following the plans, but not that good! |
