Herdaughter has been in Gainesville since June 1st doing the Distance Elite Swim Camp at the University of Florida. I picked her up yesterday and I can't tell you how great it is to have her back home! We have missed her so much. We just finished updating her training log:June's totals: Run: 2h - 0 MiSwim: 86h - 0 YdStrength - 11h 15m I am so proud of her! This is by far the hardest thing she has ever done, being away from home for a month, training nearly 50 hours more this month in swimming and nearly double for strength training. Now she just has to get back on the bike! Her next race is coming up quickly, July 15th.

edit:  oops, I didn't notice that she was logged in, not me!

86 hours of swimming for the month...that rocks! How about a total of meters swum? I'm guessing it's a good bit over 250,000...

Man...I have some great memories of meets at the O'Connel Center pool.

My club never did the summer camp thing, just insane amounts of hours and meters in the pool. My longest week was in the 110,000m neighborhood. And I wonder why my shoulder didn't last through college...
