My skin is getting drier and drier as race season nears and am spending more time training and more time in the pool.  What suggestions for a good lotion do you all like that isn't so oily that it clogs my pores.

I swear by curel, I find that showers before and after swimming are also helpful.

Not exactly what you are looking for, but I use this as a hair and body wash (was having the same issues, especially in winter). It solved my problem and I didn't have to worry about lotion after. I just bought my second batch of this yesterday

Curel is really good. So is Lubriderm. Basically, don't get cheap lotion. It's cheap for a reason.

For a lot of moisture, look at getting body butter .... I like Tree Hut. It's not too expensive and does a great job. http://www.drugstore.com/tree-hut-original-shea-body-butter-origina...

I use that immediately after showering when I'm swimming a lot during the winter.

I do the same, albeit with a different brand.

VAseline has a lotion for men body/face lotion that I have found is good. After pool and even after shower, my skin is dry in winter after pool, so i keep this at the office to put on face/arms after swim. Good moisturizer (in a man moisturizer sort of way).

THIS. I LOVE the Tri-Swim series. I use all their stuff after every swim - shampoo, conditioner, body wash, AND lotion - and my skin and hair always feel great again. "Normal" hair and body wash just don't get the chlorine out as much in my experience.

Coconut body butter from the Body Shop.  Nice and thick.  And smells like vacation.  Awesome on feet and hands. Pricey but worth it.

I have been having the same problem.  Winter air+ swimming 3x/week=superdry skin.  I have been having good luck with Cereve cream.

Ha--I was going to say "It puts the lotion in the basket!"

Glad to see I'm not the only nut job on here.  Oh, wait--it's a triathlon message board...

^^^^Winner!

Growing up around a pool I think I tried all kinds. What works great for me now is the steam room. no kidding. After I swim I spend about 5 minutes in the steam room, just until I'm sweating. gets all the chlorine out of my skin. I HATE that itchy feeling when I run if I've been swimming a bunch. Cured it all.

I started using plain coconut oil (from the grocery store) a few weeks ago and it is working well.

If you are a dude, Nivea for Men Sensitive Face Care. Fragrance, dye, alcohol free.

Can you use the tri-swim lotion on your face?  Of all these recommendations, which ones can be used on the face other than the Nivea.

When I saw the title I was wondering how many posts it would take before a reference like this. Great movie.

To the OP, I like Vitamin E oil.

Eucerin- lotion for the body and cream for the hands and heels of feet.  I put the cream on my hands before bed, and after swimming.  Nothing has worked as well to heal my chapped hands..

I've tried lots of different lotions, from Curel, to Eucerin, to Lubriderm. I've used several chlorine removing body washes (every brand I tried made my skin burn), Ivory, Dove, Zest, etc. Nothing worked really well until I found this combination:

Aveda Rosemary Mint Body Wash
Jergens Lotion

Honestly I think what made the difference was being diligent with my routine. If I start skipping the lotion I will have irritated itchy skin within a week.
