I had to take the spacers from behind the brake pad and move them to the outside of the caliper arm on my B12. Then there was enough room for the wheel.

Thank you for the reply rrr8400!

The 90 in the front would have a speed advantage over the 60 depending on the wind and the yaw angle. It would obviously be tougher to handle in cross winds. When I was debating this question I came across from data that said something to the affect that if you had to get out of aero position once with the 90 setup, it would wipe out the gains you would get over the 60 if you were to stay in aero the entire time on the 60. So from my understanding, it's not a HUGE advantage. Also, I figured reduced weight of the 60 would help when climbing hills (125 gram difference between the two).

I have the 60/90 setup and absolutely love it. Awesome wheels for an awesome price.

I went the 15 rounds with Flo wheels. I was set on buying a pair so I did a ton of research and also emailed back and forth with Jon from Flo quite a few times. His recommendation was the 60/90 setup. He said that for a rider who can average 23-25mph for a race the 90 will be faster but will be harder to handle. For someone who averages a slower pace the 60 is the better/faster front wheel.

My big debate was between 60/90 and 60/60 because I wanted wheels I could use on my road bike as well as TT bike. Finally decided on the 60/60 being the best combo for me.

Ended up being irrelevant because my LBS (New shop that I need to support as much as I can) offered me a great deal on some Zipp 404's so I went that route. But I can say the service from Flo even without ordering was amazing. The order was right before my IM in CDA, Jon offered to arrange overnight shipping at a very good price and said he would work to make sure I had them in plenty of time. And like I said he personally emailed me and my wife back and forth answering all of our questions.

I don't need the 60/60 setup anymore, but I can see a set of 30's in my future.

I've got the 60/90 Flos. I train on them as well as race on them. Am very pleased so far, have 3 races and 8 weeks of training on them at 2-3 rides a week. I did initially have some issues getting the brake to fit, but a quick slackening of the brake cable into the caliper helped, rather than juggling spacers. These are my first aero wheels, so i'm still getting used to the 60 front wandering in crosswinds. It's a little unnerving, especially with the speeds i'm now turning. I would imagine the 90's to be a little scarier still, without enough benefit to justify it to me *personally*. YMMV. I do not average 23 mph. More like 18, so i don't think i'd benefit anyway.

You're not using a disc cover for races right?  I found using a disc cover with my old 40mm front wheel made the bike a bit more stable than the 40/40 setup in the ocean sea-breeze crosswinds we get here.  I now have a 60/90 FLO set and did one race on then without the disc cover, the bike definitely pushed around a bit more than with my 40/disc cover race setup.  For the next race I'll have my disc cover ready for the 90 to gauge the differences.

Newb question........What tubes do you run with the different combinations of wheels? If a 60/60 wheel set takes the same tubes, stem size, what do you run with the 60/90 set? Two different tubes with different stem sizes or same tube but use a stem extender on the 90?

I used an extender because the LBS didn't have any other good options. Too short or too long iirc.

Ideally, you'd get a bunch of 80mm length valve-stem and pop on a 30mm extender for the 90. Unfortunately, no one makes 80mm latex tubes so that only works if you run butyl (although perfect if you ride those 60/90 day to day).

So yes...if you race in latex, both front and back will require extensions. Just get whatever combo (of stem and extender) that gets you to about 75-90mm for the 60mm Flo and 105-120mm for the 90mm Flo.

I've been toying with the idea of a 60/60 plus a wheelcover so that I could use it on my road bike as well.

Damn sexy, and a great price point!

Check out eBay periodically, I bought my used 60/90 for $644 total, they came with velo-plugs, latex tubes and GP400s tires, win-win!

Honestly probably the thing I like best is the aluminum braking surface. WAY better stopping power on those fast descents!

I used to have a set of deep dish carbon wheels with the aluminum track but they got killed in the same accident that I almost got killed in. :p

Saw an IA4 in my local shop today. I think they had to wipe all the drool off of it after I left. Trying to tell myself that I really don't need to spend that kind of money on a bike, even though I am currently using a road bike with aero bars attached to it....it works...sort of. But I would REALLY love to have that IA4....oh boy!!

Felt IA4 finally tested in it's first race of the season. I was able to cut through a 20mph headwind and had the fastest bike split of the day. This thing rides as good as it looks!!
