Comments: Started out way too fast. First two miles were 5:30 and 5:40. 5 miles in 28:40 and 10K in 36:30. Really faded the 2nd half of the course. Pleasantly surprised at being able to hold that pace for 10 miles considering I didn't run much Sept-Nov and mostly just ran easy the last few months. Would have liked to break an hour...but I think I'll be there in a couple months after dropping a few pounds and adding in some speed work. I'm really not sure why I started so fast. What would you do differently?: Start off closer to 6m/mile pace and go from there. I knew after 4 miles that I was going to suffer towards the end of the race. Surprised I held on as much as I did.
