... she bought me a Garmin 310XT for by birthday!  Just been playing around with it, very cool and setup is pretty intuitive.

My wife just told me she was going to get the 910 for me for Easter but it came up after I told her I was thinking about skipping the 910 and using multiple devices, going to go with the Edge 510, she really likes the live tracking feature so when I am gone for hours on the bike. Now I need to be patient and wait until Easter before I can get my toy

My wife "forced" me to buy a Shiv last year. She kept asking, "are you sure you don't want DI2?"

I'm just sayin'

When I was bummed out when I was having knee problems and I was worried that I have to give up my Tri aspirations, my wife said "I've seen people do Ironmans with no legs and even in wheelchairs.. what's your excuse?"

When we had some money issues and I offered to sell my bike and computrainer to help get us out of the hole, she said "I'm going to be married to an Ironman, so get your butt back on that bike and quit being stupid!"

She knows it's my dream and she won't let me give up. Yep, she's a keeper.

Last year when I was getting into the sport and trying to remember how to swim, my wife made me a deal: if I could do an uninterrupted 500m swim a month before my sprint, she'd buy me a wetsuit for birthday, three weeks early so I could have it and get in a few training swims before the race.

Inspiration to get to the pool and new gear - perfect, just like her!

Clearly I need to express the importance of my birthday, fathers day, 4th of july, etc to my wife. Whatever it takes. Really though she is very understanding
