I'm hoping to make this my comeback race...Missed Marquee/Leadman due to an extreme case of PF. Also, opted out of Boise 70.3...Super bummed, but I guess this is how it goes. Planned on doing the OLY, but I think I will just hobble through the sprint and perhaps do the OLY at Deuces Wild 3 weeks later. Still hoping to be better for Mountain Man 70.3 in August, but my heel throbs just thinking about it.

Jason, what happened? PF?

See you at the Deuces wild and Mt. Man 70.3!

Yes, Plantar Facsiitis...It's been bothering me since before Chang's in January. Instead of letting it heal up after the marathon, did some trail runs while training for Tough Mudder. (Feb) I really think that's what did it, but I had friends relying on me so I did it against my better judgement. Since then it's gotten really bad...Had my foot wrapped for awhile and the pain is now just in my heel instead of the entire tendon. I'm running through it, but you can see that my distances are limited. I've heard of people struggling with this for years.

I'm now doing this race as a relay! Kind of excited that I only have to run (since that's all I've been doing anyway). I haven't been hanging out much out BT, but maybe this race will hook me back into tri's.

Good luck to everyone this weekend at Tempe Int'l.  I would love to be out there with you all, but have recently been sidelined with a hip impingement and bilateral sports hernia, so no running for a month.  Originally I was to be out there with My Team Triumph and racing with a disabled youth, but lack of equipment by the organization limited the support team to one (1) group.  Make sure you cheer them on, as they will be starting the swim about 10 minutes before the rest of the race kicks off.

I'm doing the Olympic one. Did my first one as a super sprint up in flagstaff last year so the distance is a good jump but I've been training hard and at least it's flat and low altitude! Still nervous but excited.

My team and I are doing a beginner's clinic to walk you through the entire race and give tips.  This will begin at 4:30pm at RoadRunner Sports (at check-in). I'm doing the run segment so I'll teach you how to run fast.  It's free and we are there to help ease any pre-race jitters and answer any questions. Everyone is welcome!
