It's just a natural way to start a thread when the previous one was "frozen."  One would expect a bit more heat from a dating thread.

I'm responding from the kitchen ...while cooking bacon ...in my undies. I'm feeling the heat.

I like where this is going!

I know this was in red, but I've gone out with one or two girls that spent a large part of our date talking very bitterly about guys on the dating site we met with.  One was to the point that she was showing me messages and laughing at them leaving me wondering "why are you even accepting dates?".

I get that online dating is a crap-shoot at times, but projecting your frustration onto your date is something that's only going to add to said frustration.

Carrying this over to comment since I am the Ice Queen of the dating threads

I am really, REALLY careful about talking about exes or guys I've dated. Most of the guys I've dated are really great guys, just not great for me. Also it casts a poor light on you if you're bagging on your own (repeated?) past decisions to date questionable characters.

But sometimes the messages I get from the dating sites are so hilarious and off the wall I will admit to having shown them to guys before - and they've done the same. It's simply entertainment at that point.

IMO-too much heat, too fast can ruin a good thing.  Slow, steady, enjoy the wanting phase as long as you can!  Effort from both ends, courting, impressing, wondering, teasing, and never being a sure thing too soon.  :-

One of my favorite phases of dating that so many people rush thru.  Or at least my horny friends (and both Male and FemaleSealed

Best of luck to all of you.  As of last Thursday, I'm engaged!  But I'll be keeping an eye on the thread just for entertainment purposes.

There is happiness out there and you will find it.

The ones that get me are the people who so obviously have not read your profile. Things like "Endurance Sports are very important to me at this point in my life" would seem to be a magnet for those who have no interest in sports at all...

At least in my experience.

and I guess... running/biking/swimming aren't really sports anyways

But yeah, still single ladies

Do you want them to do the same things or just understand that they are your passion and they take up your time?

Maybe those it attracts have no idea what "endurance sports" means. Tehy may think it means you like to like to watch sports. Perhaps elaborate a bit more in simpler language to scare away the ones that aren't into working out. Big difference between training and racing and "sports" (as in watching) to most peeps. I enjoy the crossfit ...and most think that is beach booty boot camp at the park.

I thought it was just another dating service

Worked for me!

While I'm off the market (gone exclusive with crossfit chick), I'd better stick around to for the insight and to share what I learn about dating.  For example - Guys be warned:  When a girl comments that you're faster at undoing her bra than she is, it appears that the correct response is NOT "OMG, I hear that ALL the time!"

hmmm.  I've wanted to do cross fit for a long time, but its costly, and I'm already having a heck of a time supporting triathlon and horseback riding.  My trainer in horses tells me to quit triathlon and my tri coach tells me to stop riding.   I can only imagine if I threw in crossfit.

Tell me, is it worth it if I can only go twice a week? (sorry I just turned this into a crossfit thread.  Unless any of you want to discuss horses. HA. )
