2 waffles before leaving house and bananna a hour before race time

Comments:

I wanted to be around 8:20-8:30 pace. I really didn't know where I would stand, so overall I'm happy. I felt pretty relaxed for most of the race. I was worried about the uneven, crappy road conditions. Had to watch where I stepped. didn't hane ankle brace on.

What would you do differently?:

maybe push it a tad bit harder in the beginning. take in water at first stop

Warm down:

really good breakfast afterwards, stretched and went home

What limited your ability to perform faster:

cramp at last mile. I don't know how I ran through it. If it weren't for the cramp I would have been at 8 pace or sub :( O well, can't complain

Event comments:

very well organized and well put on race. I enjoyed myself. I was suprised how well this race went with volunteers, etc. Perfect. I think the 10 mile race is my new favorite!
I really enjoyed myself this race. Farthest run since my surgery and all went well! WEather was perfect!

Nice run!  We finished within seconds of each other.  If you saw the flag runner, I was with him the whole way.
