I blew out my rear vittoria tire, and replced with the michelin under the advice of the shop they perform the closest to th vittoria. I. Think they are slower on the pickup, maybe more rolling resistance, but better handling. Are the differences in my head, or are they real. They are exact same weight per manufacturer stats

I run the michelin pro4 on my tri bike and have the michelin pro 3 on my road bike that I used in 2 hims last year. I think they work great but can't compare to your other tires since I haven't used them before.

I run the Pro Slicks on my Cervelo RS and my Speed Concept, and I gotta say I love em.  Especially since PB had them on sale for $30each lol made it an easy choice when I blew my last tire out.

Have you seen the chart that lists rolling resistance for tires each year? It would answer your question.

Check it out~

I race on the vittoria pro slicks and they definitely feel fast but I can also say they don't handle well in wet conditions.  I did a HIM 2 weekends ago and went down on a wet turn even after sitting up out of aero and braking early for the turn.  As soon as I leaned at all for the turn my back tire was out from under me and down I went.

My personal experience from going from the Rubino pro slicks to the GP4000s is that the Vittorias are slow.  I have no specific data to back that up, just a noticeable increase in speed.

FYI, Rubino Pro is not listed in the table KathyG posted and hasn't been updated in awhile now to add the latest tire offerings such as the Pro4 series.

There was a thread recently about "do tires make a difference" and Rubino Pro vs GP4000S was the main topic.  It was estimated that the GP4000S are about 10-13W faster.  I also posted that I had Rubino Pro's before I went to GP4000S and I felt GP4000S were a faster tire on my first ride.  Much better handling too IMHO.

OP did you see this chart? SC Probably not far off of the Rubino Pro's, can't say though without real data for each.

Rubino pro slicks are OK training tires but there are better race tires available. I trained on Rubinos for the past couple of years and was happy with them. I swapped them out for races though (Vittoria Eco CX's and GP4000S are my race tires of choice).

I'm enjoying the Open Evo. They're fast and I mostly go in straight lines so...

The Pro4 is going to be the faster tire of those two.
