Race is coming up in a couple weeks.  Who is doing this one?

I've heard there is one hill that is tougher.  Anybody know where on the course to expect this bigger hill?

I'm in, although coming off a GI bug, respiratory bug, and slack training Im nervous with the thought of not improving from last year.

Bigger hill...whatever.. this race will house your fastest avg for the year.

Good luck

Unfortunately,  no.  Big family logistics weekend.   We have to compare race schedules and try to push each other again.   That was one of my better OLY cycling legs and was great to get out of the normal grind of the race.

The hill that hurts me the most is the last half of the return leg on Ebenezer Church Road. It's about 3/4 through the course. It's not that bad of a hill but it always seems to suck the energy from me. The course has several other hills but that's the one I hate. Even with the hills, this does tend to be a fast course. I hope the race day weather will be better than today's.

Boy was this wrong.
Canceled swim, late time trial bike start
Clear run
Pouring rain after
Congrats to all on this dreary day

On a side note, it was a great day for a race at Jekyll Island

(I know I'm being evil but it was a shock to discover just how bad the weekend turned out for races in ATL. At least they managed to pull off a modified race, they weren't so lucky with Iron Girls.)

I have to admit, this is the first time I have watched my wife race and been glad I was NOT lining up to start.

Yeah, I raced Saturday and my wife decided not to because of the rain. It poured rain during the entire bike.

After Peachtree, we drove to Lake Lanier Islands for her race the next day (IronGirls). It was nice and sunny all the way to Lake Lanier but the night turned evil. Torrential downpour with constant lightning and wall shaking thunder. Went to transition at 5AM to find out race was cancelled and grab her bike. Good call on IronGirl's part.

Back to Peachtree.....

this was a great race, despite the cancelled swim and bad weather. The bike is mostly flat with a few hills here and there. The return on Ebenezer Church is the worse. I am a big guy so a lot of folks passed me on this hill as I tried to keep my watts reasonable.

The run is somewhat hilly as well. It seemed to either be up or down but nothing flat
