Living in Hampstead, the location is ideal for me.  Just have to check the calendar!

Wow, I'm in Hampstead too so this is right in my backyard.  We are at Lake Winny most weekends, but I may have to figure out how to add this race to my plans.

Word is getting around on this race. I was at a 5k this weekend and a few people were talking about it and my Tri-club has made the race an official part of the race season. Should shape up to be a good time!

Don't know if anyone else did this race but it was a pretty good race. The transition area was in a tough spot, but logisically I can see how that was the only spot that would work. The swim was good, lake was nice and warm and relatively clean, although some serious "stuff' on the bottom near the exit haha. The bike was well marked and had some nice challenging hills for sure. The run was a trail run that was more like an adventure race with some of the hills and streams you had to jump over, but I thought it was well marked and fun. Overall I thought it was a great race and had a really good turn out for a first year. The food after was good, everything was on time, the annoucning was great, the crowds were loud, all in all I definitely enjoyed it. Hopefully they can do this every year as it's all of 4 minutes from my house.
