Extreme Veteran 1136 | Subject: Free Rudy Project? I won a "free rudy project" at a race this weekend, but instead of actually getting a physical item I got a numbered coupon / order form. Supposedly I can choose 1 item from a list of sunglasses, helmets, cycling apparel, or bags. Strangely, the "free" item will cost me $29.99 shipping and handling. I think this is a little over the top. I know quite a few people like Rudy Project, so is it worth it to fork over $30 for the "free" item? I don't really need any of them, but who wouldn't want an extra pair of shades in the rotation? |

Master 2468 Muskego, Wisconsin | Subject: RE: Free Rudy Project? Glasses and helmets there a hundreds of dollars. I'd pay the shipping and handling. Even if you don't like what you get you can sell it and make enough money to buy something you do like. |

You are right. That is over the top. Send the coupon code my way and I will take the inconvenience away from you. |

You are right. That is over the top. Send the coupon code my way and I will take the inconvenience away from you. I'll make a better offer. I'll trade it for a $500 gift card to RedStar I got in a race bag. |

They threw in a visor too. Still have the transition pack.... sell the extra if you don't like what you get. Rudy rocks. |

Extreme Veteran 1136 | Subject: RE: Free Rudy Project? Thanks for the advice everyone. Erock- unfortunately the Wingspan is not among the free items. I think I will go for a pair of sunglasses as I am currently using a $10 pair for runs/rides and they have some sharp edges. ScubaVol- I take it you're from TN? Did you do the Iron Nugget or Dickson Endurance this weekend? edit: oops, I just realized you have the Dickson Endurance listed in your races... should have checked that earlier. Fun course but fairly challenging. Edited by wbattaile 2013-05-13 9:51 AM |

70 | Subject: RE: Free Rudy Project? I love my Rudy Projects. I have two pairs and can't imagine riding or running with anything else. I've always had issues with glasses fogging up as they typically sit too close to my forehead. Rudy's will only fog up on hotter days when I'm not moving. As soon as I start moving whether on the run or the bike they clear right up. I am able to get a discount on Rudy projects and that still comes to $70-$80 dollars and I still purchase them. I would gladly pay $30 for a pair. |

Regular 1358 Jenison, MI | Subject: RE: Free Rudy Project? *reviving this thread* I won this as well, and am pretty pumped about it. My problem isn't the $30, it's trying to figure out which pair of glasses to get. Anyone have thoughts on their own pairs for a recommendation? I'm definitely going to go with a set of the racing sunglasses, just not sure which. I probably need to find a local dealer so I can check them out. Let me know if you have thoughts on specific models! |

Let me know if you have thoughts on specific models! Brad, they don't sell the model I have anymore but it is similar to the Rydon. I've had my pair for the last 4 or 5 years and have used them in every race and every ride since then. They still look new. Can't ask for more out of a pair of sunglasses. The only thing with the lenses I got is that they can be a little too dark in low light conditions. |

I have both the Grey and Clear Lens. |
