Subject: Email Address Shows in Profile
Before the site upgrade, my email address was private, meaning it did not show in my profile. Now it shows. Every profile I went into showed the email address so apparently there is a problem. Don't know about everyone else, but I DO NOT want my email address displayed publicly. For the record, I double checked in account settings "My email address is publicly viewable on my profile page" is unchecked.

I cannot reproduce this.  I don't see your email.  As a 'guest' I can't.  As a regular user I can't.  Changing my email settings to ON changes it to show my email to others in my profile, unchecking correctly does not show it.

If you want to pm me your friends names that have emails showing...I can investigate this further.

Ron, apparently I can always see my email when I am viewing my profile (not editing, just viewing)? I went down several pages of the mentor forum I am in and about half of the email addresses show which could be because the user has privacy settings that way.

If you are confident that the address is not showing publicly then I am good. Thanks for responding so quickly.

Yes, it apparently does show your email address to the owner of the account.  It's not being shown to others and it respecting the settings.  We should probably remove it even from the account holders view to not cause confusion.

If viewing your own profile, we have removed the email if you have it marked private.  This was to eliminate confusion.
