Will be in SF late June and have a 10 miler scheduled. Planning on 5 out and 5 back starting at Union Sq where my hotel is. Any streets to avoid? I was thinking of going north on Powell, Left on Columbus, Left on Bay, left on Marina, then just stay at the edge of the Bay and wind around to the foot of the Golden Gate. That is just over 5 miles. Street view looks a bit hilly, lol. If I run from east to west and back will that be less hilly? Like from U Sq to Golden Gate Park? I was hoping to run across the GG Bridge but that is 5 just to get there from my hotel

Thoughts?

I would not recommend running up Powell --> Columbus. This would take you through China town and then Northbeach - two of the most congested areas of SF.

If you want to run across the GG bridge, take a car up to Chrissy field and start there (lots of parking) or take the 30 bus (MUNI) to the area.

Thanks. I think I'm going to start the run around Aquatic Park. Looks like that will get me over the GGB and back in 10 miles.
