I discovered this arrow while racking my bike prior to my first IM and noticed it was facing the wrong way....drove me crazy deciding what to do (change it or not?). After asking someone else about it (they noticed I was tormenting myself over something and came over and asked) and he assuring me it was fine, I decided that there was way more that could go wrong from trying to change it than leaving it as is....

and it case anyone is wondering, it was the front wheel....so I am shame faced....

can't speak to whether or not there's any reason to have the arrows going "the right way" though...it's been backwards since I put it on a month ago...

I always make sure they are pointing in the right direction. Guess I'm too OCD to have the arrows pointing the wrong way. Not that either is really right or wrong, but you know what I'm saying....

Most high-end road bikes are set up so precisely that the balance is thrown off if the quick release is on the wrong side...........
