Yeah saw you at the race, I was the short guy at the table next to you in the pavillion. Nice job on AG win! If I hadn't have aged up, would have won the M35-39 AG, but I guess 2nd in M40-44 isn't bad with the overall winner. Guess I'm in a real tough AG now.
Duathlon here... Overall felt pretty good, was cooked on the 2nd run. My bike is s-l-o-w-l-y improving, just need more time with it. I wish R2 was better, but I moved up 4 positions during that run so I can't complain too much. 6th overall 1st AG 30-34male. I just wish more peeps would get into duathlons.
They had me at...
R1 @ 7:06
Bike @ 18.4mph
R2 @ 7:54
Yeah, I did my first Du this year and liked it, but still going to do the tris until I can't make any more progress on the swim. But I might jump into some more DUs in the future. Good job on the DU!
I was passing others who were saying, "Good job, 587" (that was my race number). People were cheering me on. These were the nicest people I have ever been around!
After you have established the Ironman goal, the most important factor outside of the training is which race to choose? What is your best sort of course, hilly, rolling, flat?
