Swim
  • 11m 32s
  • 500 yards
  • 02m 19s / 100 yards
Comments:

I thought I had a better swim but it might have been that I was in the novice age group. I lost my bearings only once.
What would you do differently?:

Get into a better group
Transition 1
  • 01m 39s
Comments:

Definitely getting better at the transition. If I have one good note about this race it would have to be the transition.
What would you do differently?:

Run harder to get to the bike.
Bike
  • 48m 56s
  • 15 miles
  • 18.39 mile/hr
Comments:

I am really disappointed with the bike. I thought I was going so much faster than I actually was. Again, I found out starting last is not all it is cracked up to be. I passed alot of people on the route and thought I had a good ride, but my time was not good at all. I took off my odimeter becuase I thought it would help but it hindered me.
What would you do differently?:

Start out with a better group.
Transition 2
  • 01m 42s
Comments:

Sat down to put on the shoes.
What would you do differently?:

Taken the shoes out before the end of the bike. Would not have sat down to put on the shoes.
Run
  • 26m 24s
  • 3 miles
  • 08m 48s  min/mile
Comments:

This is the worst run that I have ever had. Once I got off the bike I felt that I out of energy. My lungs were fine but my legs felt like rocks.
What would you do differently?:

Train more, so I don't embarrass myself infront of my triathlete friends.
Post race
Warm down:

Bitched and moaned about how shitty I did.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not training enough and add extra weight that is not needed.

Event comments:

Well run race and good crowd partipation. The only bad part about the race was me. haha. I really have not done that much training since I got back from europe (2 months ago) and I have put on some weight. I think this was the wake up call that I needed to start training more.

Take it as a learning experience.  Still a good race.  You did it.

Sometimes starting out later is better, than you can catch all the rabbits in the earlier waves.  Gives you motivation.  Whereas if you start early, expect the opposite.

Good Job.
