Here is a piece I am starting and not sure how much to put into it.  This one is made of motorcycle chain that I kept from a few of my dirt bikes.  It is a Stratocaster design and is very close to exact size.  I borrowed a friends guitar to trace and then made a wooden fixture to build this around.  It is tack welded on the back side of the chain.  I am not sure how I am going to finish it.  This will just hang in my shop probably.

I'm seeing a skewed/distorted or stretched 5 point star over the body using heavy wire. Then have it chromed.

Really cool! The strat is my least favourite of the big three guitar shapes, but I like the look of that piece.

Maybe finish it off? Strings, knobs, pickups? Perhaps another clock in the body?

Looks cool though and neat idea with the motorcycle chain.

I have a tele design also, but I am waiting for bicycle chain to work on it.  The Les Paul design is coming up next.

I am planning on using my old acoustic strings, but not sure about  what I am going to use from scraps or upcycled materials.  I am thinking about nuts for knobs and for the tuners either use wing nuts or possible cut some washers.

How about using spokes for frets?

So if you do that to fuss and relax...

Does that make it guitarzen?

I will probably just use scrap wire for frets with this one, but I may use spokes on the one made of bike chain instead of motorcycle chain.

That would work.  I am really trying to find some old chain saw chain to make some guitars with.

Very nice!

Interested to see the Tele and Les Paul if you get around to those; also, I think a 335 would be nice too.

The Tele is going to be made with used chain from some chain saws for the guitar player in my current band and he works for a tree service that works with the electrical companies.  The Les Paul is probably going to be bicycle chain.  I have already been asked about and SG and a Gretsch.

I wasn't planning on selling it, but a lady offered me what I would ask, so I will deliver it to her on Tuesday evening.

Here is the bicycle chain telecaster that you asked about.  It has been done for a month or more, but my time is really limited.  I will post the tele made from chain saw chains when I get the picture found and uploaded.

Sorry for the terrible cell phone picture, but that is all I can find.  I can take a better picture later if someone really wants it.  This took a few more hours to weld that I thought it would.
