I beat 32 in ag.
First six miles were great and did great job of holding back on the reigns. Didn't get excited except when I saw my family. Kept it at practiced pace. Mile 8-10 came and all the wheels came off. Started walking everywhere. Couldn't hardly make it from aid station to the next. Chris gave me some motivation to hurry up right at mile 11.
What would you do differently?:

Eat more on bike.

Ha, sat under tent for 30 minutes and tried to collect myself from going to medical tent.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nutrition, practicing more distance, life vs tri life

Event comments:

56 miles of biking on those roads. . . Not sure Ill EVER do that again, and my bike isn't the most expensive out there.

With stroke improvements I find that when I try and swim long I have lost any speed gains that I had because my stroke count just creeps up and up. I also feel like I'm running out of air.

I just started doing tris this summer and I have two under my belt, both sprints. Is it reasonable to build up for a Oly in early ‘09, with a HIM in Oct of ‘09

I just had a couple of problems, I could count the number of triathlons I had contested at zero. Secondly, I could count on one hand the number of times I had been swimming in the last 17 years.
