I did the Sprint (with my brother-in-law and neighbor) and had a great time.

I beat my target time by 10 minutes and didn't feel wiped out like I did two weeks ago after the Holliston Sprint.

Only negative issue on the day was the crazy transition from the lake to the transition area. It was very long (almost a half mile in distance), it was incredibly muddy, rocky, and slippery. I saw at least half a dozen people fall...thankfully, nobody appeared to get injured.

I am over on the left in the picture. ;-)

The metrowest daily news is reporting that there were car accidents with 2 cyclists on the race course. Beautiful morning for a race

That's terrible.

I was a little disappointed with how they handle traffic.  I think that they could have done a better job.  Especially on the parts of the course were riders were going 35-45 MPH.

Thankfully, it doesn't look like there were any serious injuries.

I did as well. Agree on both points: the muddy, long T1 was like another event within the race! and the traffic control / direction was not good.
Still a fun race with lots of h-i-l-l-s...

I did the Olympic. The race was good and I too came in 10 minutes faster then I predicted so it was a good race.

I did the sprint last year so I knew what I was in for on the transition. But I was not expecting all the mud. The rain really messed that up.

I didn't see the bike accident happen, but I must have seen the aftermath. I saw some guy off his bike in the middle of the road yelling at a driver. Couldn't really tell what was going on. I also almost go cut off by a driver on a cell phone in downtown Hopkinton. There could have been a better job on the bike course but over all it was a good day.
