Extreme Veteran  909   Westchester, NY |  Subject: I'm going to need new Tri bike shoesSo I need new Tri bike shoes. My current pair are destroyed after Eagleman this year. My feet were killing me anyway. What am I looking for ? Size wise - how much do I size up ? Any particular brands I can search for ? |

I've noticed that most bike shoes have a much worse toe box shape than even most running shoes. Hey, do we ALL have severe bunions or what? I'm taking a look at Bont, which seem to have an actual FOOT shaped last. Just having trouble finding them anywhere in my size (and they're a QBP brand now, so most any shop should be able to get ahold of them). |

Ended up with a pair of Specialized S-Works Trivent - like the fit and the easy access with the movable heel cup. http://www.specialized.com/aw/en/ftr/shoes/triathlon-shoes I agree about getting something that fits right. You don't want your foot to be moving around in the shoe. The sizing up thing is only for my running shoe. Prior to this, I had the Sidi T2 that was half a size larger and I only use that now for trainer workouts as there's too much movement when racing. |

I've got the RXL Hilo's... I think that anyone who tries them would love them. Stupid comfy, especially sockless, and I've got wide feet. I wouldn't even think about wearing socks with them at any distance. Edited by cgregg 2013-06-18 6:15 PM |
