While I haven't yet signed on the virtual dotted line, I put together a training plan to get me there starting on Monday. Anyone interested in doing some bricks? In the past I've done the Butcher Jones swim/run during the winter/spring and then Canyon Lake swim/run in the summer at the pullout just past the first bridge. I saw the earlier thread and talk of the second bridge - I don't know about that. Perhaps that's the current safe spot.

Anywayyyyyssssss - I was thinking about Friday afternoon/evening. Anyone interested?

When I told my husband that I planned to work toward completing a sprint triathlon, he smiled and was supportive, but a bit disbelieving.

I was passing others who were saying, "Good job, 587" (that was my race number). People were cheering me on. These were the nicest people I have ever been around!

I was not an official; I simply observed the race and the officials doing their thing. Here is what I saw:

Experts agree, doing a “mock,” triathlon on the course you’re racing can aid you in your training; performance and most of all quell some nervous energy.
