I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but when I try to "reply" to an inspire, it's about 50/50 as to whether what I'm replying to in the other person's inspires actually shows up as part of a quote.

It seems that more often than not I have to completely navigate away from the inspires and my training log completely and then maybe when I go back to reply the quoting part of it might work.

No idea if anyone else is experiencing this?

BTW - this is with both Firefox as well as IE8.

One thing, when you 'reply' does the 'quotes' tag and quotes show up BEFORE you post it?  OR does it show up then gets dropped when you post?

Does this seem to happen when going to an inspire directly from the red notification?  Or from the friends page?  Or another way?

Happens to me too...I THINK it happens more when I'm at work on IE vs using my Mac and Safari.  But sometimes I have to go back to my blog and hit reply 2-3 times before I get the quoted inspire to show up.  And no, it never shows up and disappears...it just doesn't appear...then sometimes it does.  And since I reply quite often I have to admit it's an annoying quirk....

Edit, I've only tried it going from reading my own inspires and clicking to "reply"....haven't tried directly from a red notification I don't think....so, in other words, I've opened my inspires to read them and I click reply to reply to one...

This is the same for me - the quote doesn't show up and then disappear, it just doesn't appear at all.

I've also tried directly from the red notification and the same thing happens - I have to navigate away from the page all together (sometimes multiple times) to be able to get the actual quote to show up.

This has happened to me every time I tried to inspire today. It happens often, but today was the first day I'd track it.

The only way I can inspire using the quoted text, is to go back to my inspires and try 2-4 times before I get the quoted inspire to reply.

It's quoting the text properly for me now and it's working consistently, however, I do still do have a few problems with inspires.

If I look at the red bar and see that there are inspires, I click the red bar.  It opens the inspires and I read/reply.  The number goes down but there are still inspires but I can't get to them unless I reload the page and click the red bar again.

Work flow

  • See number in red bar.  For this example I'll say 5.
  • Click the 5, inspires open but there are only 3 there.  Huh.
  • Reload, oh, now there's a 2 up there.  Click the 2 but there is only 1 inspire.  Oh, its a different day than the first one...

This is just clunky.

I posted this problem on the Fixed Bugs thread too.... the inspire numbers will update, but then you have to reload the page in order to click on the remaining inspires, if you don't, you click and nothing happens.

Try this again, you may have to clear browser temporary internet files but it should update inspires without a refresh.
