Subject: tire compound question
Hi All,

I just finished my first 70.3 yesterday and had a dog of a day on the bike. It was hot, hilly and well... awesome. But my question to you is about tire compound on hot days. I swapped out my regular riding/training tires (vittoria zaffiro 700x25) to a set of conti4000 (700x23). They felt nice and sticky and had awesome control but am wondering if the zaffiro's would give less rolling restistance and a little better of a time? Any thoughts?

I think the difference in shape/aerodynamics is going to be a lot more significant than the change in rolling resistance.

The GP4000s is going to have significantly lower rolling resistance than the Zaffiro, 4Ks is one of the best clincher race tires out there.

There's the list for comparing RR

The Zaffiro's aren't on there, but they aren't in comparison with the 4000s

OK - so pretty much always go with the conti's for race day?
