I signed up for the Sprint. I'm wondering what the bike course is like?

The courses are on the website - judging by the elevation profile I am assuming the bridge is the biggest hill we will be dealing with!...?

I will be driving the course next Thursday in my rental car!

Looks like we are going to have near perfect wx for Saturday's race. Bike course is pretty flat except for the climb on the bridge and just need to be careful up there of side drafts especially if your going to run a disk. I have heard that USAT is going to help out with some of the larger expansion cracks on the course with mats so that'll be nice. Run looks to be a real flat area, just may have some wind coming off the lake a little later in the day. Be safe, have fun, hope to meet a few of you out there Saturday morning.

My 17 y/o son is on his way - also racing in the LAST wave on Saturday with 24/u men.  Bummed I'm not there to cheer - but it'll be a good Father/son weekend, and I'll be watching the live streaming!  Any suggestions for stuff to do that doesn't include breweries?  Also, not sure if he know who the Fonz is!  Wink

Just a very short drive west of Milwaukee is the State Fair which is going on through Sunday evening.  Plenty to do at the fair.  I would also recommend a Brewer game, but the Brewers are not in town this weekend, so a tour of Miller Park is the next best thing.

Looks like the water is going to be a lovely 70-72 degrees on Sunday and may actually be warmer than the air temp when the first wave goes off which is mine (M40-44).  I can't wait.

Doing the Sprint.

Awesome.  I saw a lot of people got pictures with her and that is very cool.  I wished I had the time this weekend to make it down to watch the race, but unfortunately I just couldn't fit it in this weekend.   Sounds like it was a success and I'm looking forward to reading some race reports!

I'm curious about the 'don't increase your run by more than 10% per week' rule. Is there a minimum mileage under which this doesn't apply?

How should I go about training for the marathon while also building base in the other two events? Doing this seems like it's causing me to break the 10% rule in running.

Yes, the Dual is a little heavier than Cervèlo’s high end counterparts. But…the price is within reach of the masses and it still incorporates all of the design features that make a Cervèlo special.

Don’t forget this is an incredibly big year for sport with the Olympics back in Athens where the modern Olympics started, and especially triathlon to make its second appearance.
