I'll be there. Hopefully it's a tri and not a du. We've been having open water swim practice on Tues and Thurs evenings and the last 2 sessions have been cancelled due to the water conditions in Lake Decatur. You doing the intermediate or the sprint course?

we actually got to swim tonight! 71* with very little chop. With the air temps forecasted for the rest of the week it should be wetsuit legal.

75 yesterday. I'm sure it went down 2-3 degrees by night but with today and tomorrow to warm it back up I am leaning towards it being non-wetsuit legal. Who knows. In the grand scheme of things I don't mind either way I guess. I would like to swim in the wetsuit but I think with my swimming strength that it would benefit me for it not to be so all the "slower" swimmers will be even slower...hehe

I have always been an athlete, growing up playing team sports like basketball and soccer. I also ran in a couple of 10K races every year, so I had no reason to worry about running a 5K...right?

I am not going to buy a tri-suit before my first tri - I want to make sure I am going to stick with this before I spend a lot of money on it so I want to figure out what will work best.
