Welcome everyone to the 2013 BT Tour de France. Stay healthy, ride lots, have fun and encourage each other and we should don the Yellow Jersey in Paris.

My name is Scott, going for 21 stages and 21 hours. By the end, hope to mix in road and off road time.

I'm in for 12 stages and 22 hours.

I'm glad that we didn't have the stuck bus!

Hiya, team awesome!  I'm Melanie, and I think I committed to a conservative 8 stages 12 hours.  My life/schedule gets a bit whacky at times, so I didn't want to set a goal I would struggle and stress to make.  If things go well, I may up the goals.

Ha ha ha, so true!  I felt so bad for the driver and so perplexed that they didn't think of backing it out sooner (it seemed that was the solution, just backing it up).

Are we supposed to log our stuff somewhere?  I know in our training log but someone mentioned a spreadsheet?

I seriously could not understand why some Race Official type person did not go out to the bus and say, "Back up the bus now.  Don't worry about further damage to the A/C and bus, we'll write you a big check if necessary."  It seemed really obvious on TV that they needed to back up the bus (without breaking the finish line).

French Fries - great idea. I know place to get some - let's see, it is right off the bike path about 25 miles away - I could get some good time, miles and stages just getting some fries!!!

I believe a spreadsheet should be up today. If not, I will plagerize one from last year for us to log on.

Day 3 in the books...planned 45 min, actual 41.  Started pouring and I got a flat at the same time.

I took it as a sign.  Surprised

I'm in for 10 stages, six hours, but that could change if the fry-lover from Team OB-NOX doesn't cool it!

I took last years Garmin Spreadsheet (should have taken 2011 when Garmin Won It , but we shall reclaim our team title this year)

I updated with the names and goals posted here.

It is in the BT Challenge

I think that I'm missing something regarding the spreadsheet.  There is a place for stages completed (Stages to Date) but where do we put the hours/miles completed?  Or should we just put it here like this?

Stage 1 - 3:14:37

Stage 2 - 2:08:07

Stage 3 - Wednesday

Goal 12 Stages / 22 hours

I re-titled column G

so

The spreadsheet if found from last years tour was simplified. It is just a total of your tour -nothing broken down by stages or weeks. You could do that yourself within the "Goal Completed" cell

The number of stages you are targeting complete goes in Column C "Goal: Number of Workouts/Stages"
The number of stages you have actually completed goes in Column D "Stages To Date"

Column E is your "Goal: Distance/Time"
Column F "Type (minutes, miles etc)" is how you are measuring your goal i.e 300 miles, or 21 hours or 1260 minutes

Column G "Goal Completed (Miles/hours)" is where you enter your miles or time ridden

Column H "Tour Percentage Complete" is a calculated column showing how much of either "The Tour" or "Your Tour" has been completed. It combines your percentage of stages with your percentage of miles/hours and averages them together. It does not allow you to go over 100 % complete, but it will allow you to ride more miles and less stages (or vice versa) and still achieve the higher percentage.

Now that I have totally provided too much information to a simple question..... if you do have any more questions let me know.

Now go out and ride

I know there were problems with the account last month due to people signing in/posting from all over the world. I thought they were corrected though.

If you would like, PM me you e-mail and let's see if I can share the document with you.

Hello everyone! I'm late to the party this year but that wasn't going to stop me from doing my favorite challenge on BT! I'm in taper for IMLP and I'll be shooting for 10 stages and 250 miles. I'll definitely keep up my logs, but getting on the boards might be tough as its going to be a busy month. I'll check in whenever possible though, go Team Garmin!
