Subject: Team Skinny July 2013....Hot Hot Hot is the weightloss!
Well peeps we are half way through this year and hopefully many are on the right path to achieving their goals. If you are like me, your stuck in a rut and need a good midway kick in the butt.

So here we go, all are welcome.

Post your starting weight and goal for the month. Weigh ins are on Wednesday and encourage each other!

I need back in and some focus. Want to drop 15 lbs before post Labor Day HM.

Goal for July is 225

Overall goal is 205

need to get back on the wagon. Baby will be 8 months old in a few days, can't use him as an excuse any more...on the plus side, I am only 5 lbs away from pre-pregnancy weight. on the minus side, that's not saying much....

I used June to get myself back into the training frame of mind and am good with the results. I will be following a HM training program for the rest of the summer, so I'll be using that as a guide from here on out. I have to pick up a new scale though, but I'm not going to focus on exact numbers as there is plenty to lose and time to keep track of it all!

Slacked on the reporting and loss last month but need to give it a faithful go today I'm at 298 month goal is 288 who knows!

Looks like we have a good crew on board for this month, more will join in as we go. These months get so hard with so much going on and the nice weather gets people slacking on workouts and eating at times. We need to stay strong and do this!!!

A little mad at myself, June saw a 10lbs weight gain, Starting the month at 228 lbs.

I like this idea. See others achieve, tells me I can too.

Goal weight is 215 lbs.

Actually dropped a few pounds, surprised since I have not been able to get any workouts in this week. Mini tri with my club in the morning, should be hot and humid

Quick question for y'all....do you typically use this thread only as a weigh in or to also post workouts and general motivation? Got a good run this AM even though the humidity was already sky high. Ran on a XC trail between schools and a park in my town. Only did 2.75 miles but it was a good effort to start off the holiday and to set the tone for the rest of the day. Happy 4th to all, stay safe.

Clocked in this morning at 86.9 kg.   The scale has been stubborn.... BUT .... I put on some size 34 jeans for the first time in 5 years.  And they FIT without being tight.

 

I'll have to chalk it up to some newbie muscle gains in weightlifting, as I have been eating at a deficit, and clearly my waist is smaller than it was.   When I started in early may, my size 36 pants were so tight that I couldn't wear them all day.

Started this month at 211, looking to be 205 or so by the end. Oly next week, so will probably relax the training a bit after, but have my eyes set on a HM in the fall, so hopefully that will keep my goals in mind! Also, a nice vacation in September that I want to look better for!

Hello, thanks for starting this up again! I traveled a lot during May, June and the first week of July, and I'm finally home and able to commit fully to weight loss and triathlon training. After eating lots of oily, fried and saucy food in Asia, then eating salty but really really good food in New Orleans, I went up from 119 lbs in May to 125 on July 3rd. Drinking lots of water and eating right for a few days and I'm back down to 122. For the rest of July I'm hoping to get back down to 120.

Here I go!

Lost 3 this weekend, Loved the long weekend. A lot of fun workouts. Ate pretty well.

This week starting out strong, looking for a results week. 6 days on, 1 day off.

Hey all, used to be on team skinny ages ago. Yes i am back! topped out at 170.4 and next goal is 163. This would get me to (insert olde english term) 11 stone 9. Weighed in at 165.4 today so quite pleased. Feel a bit embarrassed to be back (as i used to weigh a LOT less) but i do know that i have gained more muscle mass than in the past, but still want to lose the flab around my hips. Anybody else have a similar story: some good weight gain but some bad? Any encouragement?!?

I was happy to step on the scale this morning...I was convinced I'd be down to 121 or 120 because I just felt like my stomach had less pooch and I looked slimmer in the mirror. Nope. 122! Then again, I last weighed myself on the weekend so now that I've joined Team Skinny, I'm weighing in on Wednesdays. The happier news is that when I weighed in July 3rd, the day I got back from NOLA, I weighed 125 lbs, so I am dang happy I'm down to 122!

Completely forgot to weigh in on Wednesday, now I know why. I really need to just quit work and focus on working out!
