Well I've been lazy for the past few weeks and have not posted.  I have been in a bit of a slump lately.  With my first half iron distance tri being cancelled, put me in a bit of a sour mood.

Weighed in at 189.2lbs this morning.  About a 1lb gain since my last check in a few weeks ago, nothing to gripe about, but still in the wrong direction.

I need to get more motivated and out of this slump!

a pound over a week is within the margin of error     So over a few weeks it's actually a good sign

You're right about that, thanks.

I should be happier, I don't know why I'm in this slump.

I just completed the triathlon that I did for the first time ever last year again and I smoked my time.  Took 19m53s off to 1:26:46 (500yd 17mi 5K) took 5/15 in AG and 38/206 overall.

Originally posted by johndiaz00 226 AND VERY FREAKING FRUSTRATED! Ok the past week I have tracked my nutrition on livestrong.com. I am eating around 1800 to 2000 gross calories a day this is taken prior to putting wha my expected burn amount was from my fitness. This is with what I would call a healthy amount of training. The one day I topped 2100 gross calories, I rode for two hours on a group ride average 17.5 mph, which was a PR. I think I have stopped whining today, but I am getting terribly frustrated, been stuck for several weeks at 225 arena. J

Congratz on the PR, they always feel great.

Hang in there though, plateaus suck, they suck a lot.  When you break through it though it feels amazing.  Feel free to rant and rave all you want here.  I've been known to from time to time Laughing.

6/27 - 188.2

7/4 - 187.4

7/11 - 187.6

7/18 - 187.4

7/25 - 187.4....  looks like I found my goal weight?   Been better, not perfect, about post dinner "snacks," wo I would have liked to see that drop a little.  Don't get me wrong, totally happy (well, there's always a *little* more we can do, no?)

My weight still fluctuates in a pretty predictable pattern....   Thursday is my official day, friday - sun, it usually drops into the low 185s as workouts increase, but then i eat a little more, so climbs back up to 188 or so by Tuesday, then settles back in for Wed.

Looking forward to joining this group in August. Been stuck at 205 +/- 15 for a long time and would like to see what 180 feels like. 191 was great but I still had pounds to go and fitness to gain.

That's pretty steady, I'd say you're doing well.
So here's me:
7/3 - 125 lbs
7/10 - 122 lbs
7/17 - 124 lbs
7/24 - 121 lbs
7/31 - 121 lbs. ARGH! Was hoping to meet my goal of 120 but I'm incredibly proud of the crazy volume I did in July so all in all, I'm alright. Maintaining is better than gaining! Here's to August.

I hit 220, Officially today, but wow, the last week has been awesome!!!! Greatly reduced the amount of protein I was eating. Let's just say it was a lot and the body responded.

Will, there be a August forum or do we continue here. Kind of new to site.

And I want to tell the world, Last night I rode for 2 minutes at 32 mph sustained with a peak speed at 34 on a flat crit course.
So stinken happy about that. Started riding with a group locally has greatly improve my performance on the bike. Starting a running group in August to start training for the LA marathon.

So darn happy with these results.

Congratz!  Interesting that your body responded to that.  Mine was the exact opposite.  Did you replace it with anything?

There should be a new thread for the new month.
