I know the Lawrence tri is this weekend.

I will be in Lawrence. Curious to see how this race plays out. In the latest email they made a big point of saying this was not in the same place as the 5150 or the 70.3. I am riding the course Saturday to see if there are any surprises hiding in that route. I am not expecting any. But as an orphaned KC Tri athlete I couldn't say 'no' to free.

Doing the sprint in Lawrence. I get to avoid the hills from the olympic distance on the bike. My legs are thankful after last weekend...

I had forgotten all about this event. Last year I missed it but thought ti would be fun to do, but this year it's kind of gotten lost in a number of other events. Good luck!

I'll be in Lawrence this weekend. As mentioned above, free entry for the Kansas City Triathlon racers was hard to pass up.

Feel free to post how the bike leg is for those who've ridden it.

See you all there!

I agree, and possibly the run as well. But my guess is it's not terribly hilly till you get to the stretch on 550. I already know how brutal that is...

It turned out to be a great day to race. Minus the soggy transition area the whole event was nice.

The KS BT community did well up in Omaha.

I know funkj25 finished 3rd overall. Great job.

Also, I'm pretty sure TriMomKS finished 3rd overall in the women.

We have some fast people on here.

I finished MOP but took 11 minutes out my time from last year on same course.
