Does anyone know if/when you can sign up for just the 70.3 for next year? I saw on the IM boulder page that registration for the tri series is closed....wasn't sure exactly what that meant....are there a certain number of spots for people doing the series? Do you have to wait until after this year's 70.3 to sign up for next year's race in June?

Totally confused.

I think it was a promo to try to get people to drop a grand to get into the Ironman early. (i.e. by registering for the series of the 70.3, the Peak, and the IM before registration for just the IM opened up). I expect they'll open it up again in a few days.

Are you doing this year's 70.3?

I can't find any registration for the 70.3, but I'm gathering that it isn't open yet. Currently you can only register for the IM. hmmmm.

"Registration for the 2014 Boulder Tri Series (IRONMAN 70.3 Boulder, Boulder Peak Triathlon and IRONMAN Boulder) will ONLY be available from Tuesday, July 16th at 9 a.m. EST until Wednesday, July 17th at 9 a.m. EST We will have a limited number of 2014 Boulder Tri Series entries. The entry fee for the 2014 Boulder Tri Series will be $1,035 (USD).

Registration for 2014 IRONMAN Boulder will open on Wednesday, July 17th at noon EST. The entry fee will be $675 (USD) for general entry and $1350 (USD) for Foundation Entries.

*Please note that we will only be accepting individual entries to the 2014 Boulder Tri Series. Relay teams will not be eligible to sign up for the 2014 Boulder Tri Series, but will be able to register for the IRONMAN 70.3 Boulder and Boulder Peak Triathlon separately once open for general entry"

It appears list general registration for 2014 will be the same as always, wait until after the 2013 event actually occurs. But they obviously did allow people to do the series registration to capitalize on the full IM and series registrations that occurred today and yesterday.

Not sure about next year since it is two months earlier than this year. Registration for this years 70.3 was at the end of December.

I'm actually excited it has been moved to June, and will be signing up for next years to do it again. Maybe IM in 15 if I still care. I assumed registration woul dopen after this year's 70.3 like always.

I just finished the NYC marathon on Sunday and I think I'm going to venture into triathlons. I am doing an Olympic distance and I want to do a 70.3 next year too. Any advice?

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.
