Comments:

fast change and love the new tri suit it cut downs time considerablly and was easy to swim in. lost my water bottle running out and had to go back for it. lost about 7 secs.

Transition 2

might have exited the bike a little fast. I just about bit the dirt. my computer was not working so I normally dismount about 16 or 17 mph and think I was closer to 20. lucky i did not crash.

What would you do differently?:

needed to get my legs stretched out better to be able to open up on the run. it was a bit off for me and my legs were tight for the first mile.
Post race
Event comments:

the course had to many people in one area with runners and bikers. I hope they divert some of the race traffic in different directions.

My first triathlon was at age 56. At first I was just the cameraman at my daughter's first triathlon, then I am doing the races that she has done.

Could these fevers be related to my training and increased fatigue? Is there anything I can do to help prevent future occurrences? Or could it just be allergies combined with increased fatigue?

Training in the cold can be effective and fun with some planning. Overall, prepare for the environment, stay hydrated and dry, listen to your body and have a great safe cold weather outing.
