Anyone doing the Marshfield-Duxbury Triathlon next Sunday 7/28?

This is my first triathlon ever so if you have done it before any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I did it last year, not this year for me. Swim is off Marshfield/Duxbury beach in the open ocean. Last year was a triangle shaped counterclockwise swim course. Bike is flat, only one small riser after you pass the golf course. Run segment is on the sandy beach at low tide--Hard packed sand. Out and back. Final 100 was over loose, unstable sand to the finish. Almost positive since its an ocean swim, it will be wetsuit legal. My only complaint, is that you still have to pay $15 or so to park at the beach parking lot. You would think with the high cost of sprint races these days, that there would be free parking. If your familiar with the area, you almost best to park on a side street a mile away or so, and bike over to the event. (My opinion only.)

I'm going to let you in on how to get faster by doing nothing. Well, not exactly nothing, but you won't have to raise your heart rate, put out 300 watts, or really even break a sweat.

I quickly browsed an article in Men's Health that talked about doing a triathlon, and how it wasn't really that hard. With a "tsk!" I quickly turned the page while thinking, "Yeah, right!"
