Anybody planning on going down to Branson for the Rev3 in September? I haven't signed up yet but am planning on giving the half distance a go.

I will probably sign up, I'm not in the bike shape I wanted to be in but I've got some time to hit some hills. I did it last year, great course. Ride hills, then ride some more, and a few more after that.

Those two courses are quite different. SM Park has short hills Branson they are long. SM PRk has one Cat 1 climb only 0.5 miles long. Branson has 9 Cat 5 climbs averaging 1.3 miles in length. Nothing too steep, just long and grinding. Great course though. Run is flat and very spectator friendly, runs through the outdoor shopping area by the landing. Will be a great race with Rev3 running it.

Haven't run a Rev3 race, are they usually a quality run race? I did the sprint last year due to proximity to college and had a blast. The little bit of the bike portion I was on wasn't too bad and I could tolerate the long gradual climbs. Went without a wetsuit but will be utilizing one this year for the longer swim.

So I took the family to Branson this weekend. First time being here since I started training triathlon..... Holy cow I want no part of any triathlon in this town. These hills are crazy. A little 4 mile run this morning felt terrible.

Reece I have even more respect for you accomplishing a 70.3 here. That is TOUGH.

Nce job on the link, except total ft of climbing are way off, it is recorder anywhere from 4600-4900ft, vs. 2900ft listed. Kansas is at 2400ft of climmbing and Branson almost doubles that, but all other info is correct.
