Extreme Veteran  643    , Guam |  Subject: New Tri bike or overhaul old bike every yr or 2?I have a 1996 Zipp Tri bike and race and train about 4000-4500mi a year here in Miami. My questions are? 1. If you were me, would you rebuild ( bb, f/r gears, chain, headset, f/r derailer, all cables, peddles, etc) every year or 2? 2. | Subject: RE: New Tri bike or overhaul old bike every yr or 2? In general, you likely won't get a very good price for a 1-2 year old used bike (with 8-9k miles on it) given that the originial owner didn't perform any maintenance on it. |

I agree Leegoocrap, I LOOOVE my Zipp and IMO nothing is faster or LOOKS faster than a Zipp.  5 out of 5 replies agree to keep my old bike, so be it. and thanks to those that offered their opinions. After much thought I realized WHY I was having a rebuilding and maintenance problem and I will solve that problem |
