Where do you buy your CO2 cartridges?

Here and there and everywhere. I usually just grab one or two when I need to meet a minimum free shipping requirement or something. Occasionally, if I am at the LBS for repairs or something I'll grab one then, too.

I rarely am like "I am going to go buy CO2." I typically have a couple in each saddle bag, and some lying around at home.

the quality seems to be pretty much the same, regardless.  I've paid $3 for the "genuine innovations" ones, as well as dirt cheap by the dozen off ebay.  they all work the same.

I have two different CO2 chucks that use; the first, and the one I use for racing is just a head that requires a threaded cartridge and takes very little space. I use this in my race kit as it packs up very small but because of the price (about $5/cartridge locally) I don't use it for regular riding.

For training/commuting, I used to just carry a frame pump but after a couple of winters of commuting, it failed so I went with a CO2 chuck that can use both threaded and non threaded cartridges. For this, I bought a box of 40 pellet gun cartidges ($25 I think) and have been using these for several seasons now. They are a bit smaller (10g vs 12g I think) but have more than enough pressure to get you home (about 80psi).

There are sellers on amazon that sell them for just about $1 per. I just bought a 30 pack for $35 with shipping.

Online, usually in conjunction with another purchase to save shipping costs.

I was at the LBS one day and picked a few up there along with a few other things. It wasn't until I got home and looked at the receipt that I realized that I had paid over twice as much as online.

I buy mine by the box at walmart. 15 for $10. They are unthreaded. 12 gram I think. Better than $3 from LBS. Will probably last me forever.
