Where are you swimming at that you'd need one of those? Is there not a pool you can use? As a fellow Houstonian, there are plenty of pools to use, especially in the summer.

Swim Shops of the Southwest may have them. Fellow BTer, TJ Fry is the proprieter (and all-around nice guy).

Chris

I regularly swim in a pool at 24. I am sure you know most are events here are done in the lake. I swim at 288 lake with friends. We look out for each other , but I feel i need to swim more often at 288 or maybe at Twinlakes which means i have to swim alone. I just want something to hang on when i get tired or worst a cramp attack.

If you know other good lakes i can try let me know.

Thanks

Carl

Okay. Your first post made it seem like you were swimming at Lake 288 twice a week with friendsm and wanted to go there 3-4 times a week. I had been just familiar with Lake 288, but I haven't been there.

The only other option might be pre-race clinics for various tris. For example, even if you weren't doing CB&I triathlon, the week before you could go swim in Lake Woodlands for $25 - there were lifeguards, kayakers, and bouys.

Try Swim Shops for your equipment. They have a shop in P-town.

What is your next race?

Right now its either Clearlake or Towne Lakes. I wanted Townelakes on Labor day , but my work is giving me a hard time. Clearlake im pretty much free that weekend but I dont know if the have pre-clinic swim.

Do you have to have that brand? I know swim outlet has some, but you have to order them. I made a homemade one out of those swim noodles and a strap

What did you order, I've been wanting something like this too... My folks have a house on lake livingston and I would really like something in that lake as the waves get very rough, I would also use when swimming solo at 288. It seems like the few times I am able to make it over there, I am literally the only person in the water.

How do I know if my cleats need to be adjusted? And how do you know in which direction to adjust them? I have been having medial knee pain and edema but my LBS says the cleat placement is fine.

I have pedals with the cage and when I ride 2+ hours my legs feel much more tired then if I took out my husband's bike with clipless pedals. Do clipless pedals truly make the difference?

I started riding this spring with the Carnac shoes on Look pedals (with plenty of float). About five minutes into a ride I get sharp pain on the outer edge of my feet, just behind the pedal.
