Comments: The race was over before you knew it. Tailwind/sidewind and downhill for a major part but wet streets so I did not go all out. Got third with a time of 8:24 which gives me a 50.7km/h ( 31.5mph) avg. Scary!! Avg Watts were only 207 but the avg cadence was 94,9!! I could have gone faster but I just simply ran out of gears. In the beginnning pedaled in my heaviest gear for quite some time at over 100 rpm and just could hardly pedal any faster...  Post race
Warm down: After the race I let it roll a bit and then we went back to the pool as it was too cold to stand around or even be outside as I took my bike jacket and jersey off and was only wearing a thin tight sweater. Stupid weather! Also forgot my HRM which was probably not the worst as I would have probably slowed down seeing the high HR! Last updated: 2013-06-18 12:00 AM

I don't want to get started about the weather here again but once again it was stormy and rainy! Met a friend at the pool and we decided to bike up to the race start (10km) together. Once on the road there we took turns leading and switched every 30 secs. It still took us about 30min to get up with the wind!
