Age Group Rank = 2/104
Swim
  • 11m 8s
  • 550 meters
  • 02m 01s / 100 meters
Comments:

Average swim. Swam to the outside to stay out of the mass. This hurt time a little, but overall no regrets on the swim.
Transition 1
  • 01m 29s
Comments:

Have got to work on T1 time. Having transition in a field always means cleaning the grass/dirt off my wet feet.
Bike
  • 32m 33s
  • 12.5 miles
  • 23.05 mile/hr
Comments:

Felt like a good ride. AG placement wasn't all that great, but was less than 2 minutes off of fastest bike split for AG.
Transition 2
  • 01m 21s
Comments:

Definitely have to get faster here. Lost 21 seconds to fastest AG T2 here.
Run
  • 21m 28s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 06m 53s  min/mile
Comments:

Satisfied with this time based on heat.
Post race
Warm down:

Ice baths, breakfast burritos, and Gatorade.

Event comments:

Probably Houston's best Sprint race. The price of this race is getting a little too expensive. While I understand all of the amenities that come with this race, $100 for an hour-long race is too expensive.

My first triathlon was at age 56. At first I was just the cameraman at my daughter's first triathlon, then I am doing the races that she has done.
